Cenote Angelita or Little Angel is a unique site where divers can dive in the “”clouds”” at 30m/100ft and see upside down trees. This dive site is a must do for advanced divers who are looking for something different. The name means “”little angel”” in English and there may not be a better way to describe this magical dive site. The setting is perfect, as you walk a short distance through the jungle to the rather large secluded cenote. To describe it simply this cenote does nothing else but go straight down 200 feet. Freshwater with unlimited visibility makes up the first one hundred feet and salt water the other half is separated by a mystical layer of hydrogen sulfate. This layer in the middle appears as a dense cloud from the top and strange colored hue from the bottom. Bring your dive lights, as you will need them if you are going to penetrate through to the bottom. There are not many dives in the world where you can dive in the clouds at 100 feet and see trees, but this is one. The deepest point of this cenote is at 200 feet, so go with the proper gasses in your tanks but more importantly go with the right guide who can show you the best and safest dive possible.
For second dive we will explore the famous Casa Cenote surrounding by mangroves and open water , This place is the Cenote in all the area with more marine life due to the short distance to the ocean and the tunnel underground that connects the ocean with the the fresh water lagoon. Tarpon fish , Blue crabs and grunt fish are among the marine-life, Don’t miss your chance to meet Panchito , the small alligator that lives in the cenote. Enjoy the light beams when the sun rays hits the water and creates the light curtains underwater. A place full of adventure , secret passages and a little cavern to explore . No doubt Casa Cenote will be some of your best dives ever.!!
Get to see the Halocline phenomenon that occurs when the ocean water and fresh water meet and create a dense layer that seems to be like oil trapped into the water. You can choose to be above the layer on the fresh water or below the layer in warm ocean water or Dare to be right through the layer and experience a unique effect that only happens in fresh water places
